Formamide is a substance that can cause irritation to skin, nose, and throat. It should be absolutely avoided when purchasing products for your baby. The EU toy committee established a limit ban on Formamide in 2017, but currently there is no equivalent regulation in the US.

Premium TPU Surface
The membrane of XPE and EVA foam mats is Low-Density Polyethylene, also known as PE or LDPE. It is an affordable but flimsy material also used for disposable bags. LDPE is prone to scratches and collects dust due to electric static buildup.
By contrast, our surface is consisted of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) that outperforms LDPE in strength, flexibility, and durability. It withstands various temperatures and is highly resistant to electric static buildup.

Our 8 month old baby loves the Mat and especially the cloud castle which does not only protect the baby, but also is very interactive and entertaining with different playful toys attached to the cloud castle wall. The quality is also great! We just love it!
We loved the Cuddle & Learn Play Mat for our 7 month old and 9 month old granddaughters. Our 3 year old granddaughter also played on the mat with her sister and cousin!! We also purchased the Fortella Cloud Castle Foldable Playpen and set it on the mat. We enjoyed it so much we purchased another mat and playpen for our cottage for the grandchildren. It is safe and sturdy. Our son and daughter-in-law had it at their home and we thought it was terrific.
My baby loves to hang out on the play mat. It’s has the right amount of cushion. We love that play mat is reversible and foldable which includes carrying bag.
I researched many non-toxic play mats and this was the best option for transparency of materials, thickness, softness, and overall style. I’m not afraid for my babies who are learning to stand/crawl to take a tumble. I do have carpet underneath but would use this on a hard surface too. The traction/grip is also better than other mats that have slippery surface that make it difficult for baby to crawl or stand on their own. The only drawback is the squeak sound it occasionally makes but that doesn’t take away from its rating. I haven’t had it long so I cant speak to durability but I would buy it again.
We researched non toxic mats for days but settled on this one for the price and the fact that we have their playpen as well. The mat is very large. I'd say the only negative thing is that I wish it came in a smaller size as well. We kind of have it folded between our media center and the playpen to keep the excess off the floor. We don't have too much space for a playpen which is also why we went with theirs - we liked being able to change the shape. We also have cats and we know that they will most likely scratch it up despite our best efforts, so we don't want too much of it "hanging" outside the playpen.
The mat itself is comfy - we have hardwood floors and I think it will provide enough cushion when our baby tumbles, but we haven't had it long enough to tell if that's the case yet.
The mat is very lightweight and folds up really easily, but it is a bit unwieldy when it's opened up because it is so large - so be careful not to knock anything off your shelves when you're setting it up!
I do like that it comes with a storage bag as we plan on taking it (along with the playpen) with us when we travel.
